Welcome Learning Bugs!

Meet Aunt KadieBug

Day Care Home About Image

Hi, I’m Kadie—better known in this little corner of the internet as Aunt KadieBug. I create gentle, developmentally informed lessons for kids ages 1–10 and simple, realistic tools for the grown-ups raising them. My goal is to help your learning bugs feel safe, silly, and seen, while giving you practical support you can actually use on a Tuesday afternoon.

.

Why Aunt KadieBug’s Classroom exists

Aunt KadieBug’s Classroom started with two little boys I love more than anything—my twin nephews. For a few fragile months, they were bounced around and even asked to leave places that weren’t built for their energy, their needs, or their story.
Their dad suddenly found himself a newly single father of twins—hard-working and devoted, but with almost no roadmap for the emotional storms and day-to-day realities of raising two learning bugs at once. Outside of me, he had very few people or resources to lean on.
Watching all of this up close made something crystal clear: there are so many families doing their absolute best with almost no support. This classroom is my way of giving kids a steady, familiar anchor—and giving their grown-ups one less thing to figure out alone.

Day Care Head Of School

Every learning bug deserves at least one steady, safe place that doesn’t change—even when everything else does. That’s what I want this classroom to be.”

Inclusive

Every learning bug is welcome here—shy, loud, sensory-seeking, autistic, anxious, ADHD, trauma-impacted, or “we’re still figuring it out.” Aunt KadieBug’s Classroom is built for different brains, bodies, cultures, and family shapes.

Responsible

We take kids’ safety and development seriously. Lessons are age-appropriate, trauma-informed, and rooted in real early-childhood best practices—not just what looks cute on a screen. If it doesn’t support children or their caregivers, it doesn’t make the cut.

Respectful

We honor kids as whole humans, not projects to “fix.” We avoid shame, labels, and forced affection. We use names and pronouns correctly, model emotional honesty, and teach boundaries in ways that protect both kids and caregivers.

Collaborative

Aunt KadieBug’s Classroom is meant to work with you, not instead of you. Episodes, routines, and pintable’s are designed so parents, grandparents, teachers, therapists, and aunties can all plug in, share language, and support each learning bug together.

Vision

We imagine a world where every child—especially the loud, wiggly, sensitive, or overlooked ones—has a safe, joyful place to learn, regulate, and grow alongside the grown-ups who love them.

Mission

Aunt KadieBug’s Classroom creates simple, screen-based learning and regulation tools that real families can use in real homes. Through story-driven episodes, songs, printable routines, Anytime DIYs, and “Parentorials,” we help caregivers turn chaotic moments into connection, build predictable rhythms, and support kids’ social-emotional, language, and play skills—without perfection, shame, or burnout.

You, the Big Human
Parent, grandparent, guardian, teacher, foster caregiver, or bonus aunt/uncle

You know your learning bugs best. The classroom is built so you can press play when you need backup, pause when life interrupts, and weave little routines, phrases, and tools into the home you already have—not the Pinterest one.

The Learning Bugs
Ages 1–10 • Loud, quiet, wiggly, sensitive, silly, or “all of the above”

Twins, toddlers, preschoolers, neurodivergent kids, shy kiddos, trauma-impacted kids, and the ones who “don’t fit daycare very well.” Every lesson is created to help them feel safe, seen, and successful—without asking them to be less themselves.

A message from Aunt KadieBug
Day Care Home Testimonial Image

AuntKadieBug was born in the middle of real-life chaos—twin tantrums, sticky fingers, and a newly single dad doing his absolute best. I don’t believe in perfect parenting; I believe in tiny, doable moments that help kids feel safe, seen, and proud of who they are. If anything I create gives you ten calmer minutes and one more little giggle, that’s a win in my book.
